I have been working with Shira for 6 years now, and I can’t imagine working with anyone else. I have found many therapists to be so clinical writing down names for their own memory, and I find it hard to open up in that environment. You will never find Shira with a clipboard. She sits and has an equal sided conversation filled with compassion and empathy. While feeling with her clients, Shira is able to give a broader perspective leaving you with a fuller understanding of what’s happening in your life. I could not give her a higher rating.

Dr. Gindy is a skilled professional. She is warm, compassionate, and you can tell that she truly cares. When I started meeting with her, I felt pretty depressed and anxious. I spent most of my time at home, and felt very nervous in crowds of people. She helped me get back to my life and to change a lot of negative thoughts that I had about myself and others. When I feel anxious now, I know that I can handle it by using the tools that we have practiced together. Thank you Dr. Gindy!
I did 10 EMDR sessions with Sarah and I loved them! I had a couple of sessions that were downright magical, where I walked in with one belief about a situation (usually that I was unlovable) and walked out with an entirely new belief (usually that a particular person’s response had everything to do with them and little to do with me). Her bedside manner (although there’s no bed in the office!) is amazing. She seems empathetic and gentle, but with good boundaries. Oh, and she’s got a wicked sense of humor. Hopefully you’ll get lucky enough to experience that. Sometimes it can take a day or two to process EMDR work, meaning you might not feel great. It’s kind of like being sore after a workout. Sarah was available to help me process when this happened, and ultimately I ended up feeling much better than before the session. I used my sessions to work on developmental trauma and attachment issues. I had heard that EMDR works better for more acute, recent trauma, but in my case I found it very effective. I definitely recommend you try it if you’re struggling in your relationships.

Dr. Nick is a wonderful therapist. He was recommended to me by a friend (who spoke highly of him for both individual and couples therapy), and I've now worked with him in couples therapy for the past three years. He is a kind, sensitive, and thoughtful man who has a gentle yet active/direct approach. He creates a safe and non-judgmental environment to explore feelings and challenging subjects, and his insight and support have helped me and my boyfriend cultivate deeper intimacy and develop tools and strategies to work through conflicts (in and out of the sessions). He's been extremely helpful working through issues related to anxiety, work, money, and sex. He also has a great sense of humor, which I appreciate. I've recommended Dr. Nick to a few friends (for couples and individual therapy) and I've heard positive feedback from them about their experiences. Although finding a good therapist is a highly subjective process - not a "one good therapist suits all" situation - highly recommend exploring working with Dr Nick.
Joel helped me to feel comfortable talking about many topics through my experiences in first separating from with hope for reconciliation and then divorcing my husband. He helped through navigating through the pain and anxiety associated with that, and he's helped with managing the anxiety, discomforts, and effects on other important relationships in my life. He's been a vital part of the last part of my life.
He is an empathetic listener and has good advice. I appreciated his openness and honesty. As a therapist myself, I respect what he does and recognize that he stands out among our peers. He was really able to help me.

I initially came in to work on relationship issues. My partner was physically and emotionally abusive to myself, my daughter and our fur-babies. I began to understand the cycle of power and control and how he was controlling me through fear and intimidation. With help, I was finally able to leave him. I learned to ask for help and be able to accept this help. I even filed a number of domestic violence reports and this helped in custody of my child where he only has supervised visitation. I can now understand my self-worth without him in my life. My daughter and I are living in peace and tranquility. I have also learned how to be a better parent through positive parenting training. This has been a life changing decision and I am so happy to be here.

She was warm and helped me prioritize what I wanted to work on so that I was less overwhelmed with the issues I was experiencing.
