James Dvorak Therapy
My practice is grounded in the belief that therapy is not about fixing, but about creating space to more fully understand yourself, your relationships, and your experience in the world. I work with adults navigating grief, life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, intimacy challenges, and the emotional weight of shame or disconnection. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQIA+, and I offer a queer-affirming, inclusive space where all parts of you are welcome.
My approach to therapy is relational, present-focused, and depth-oriented. This means we’ll pay attention to what’s happening in the here-and-now: your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and physical experiences, and explore how they may be shaped by your past or your current environment. Our work may involve processing feelings you’ve carried for a long time, examining internal parts or beliefs that show up under stress, or simply slowing down enough to notice what’s been hard to hold on your own.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Relational Gestalt, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, and Jungian-informed depth work. I tailor these approaches to support the needs and values of each client, always with an emphasis on compassion, curiosity, and collaboration.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, self-trust, emotional healing, or a deeper sense of connection, my goal is to support you in moving through what feels stuck and toward a life that feels more aligned and meaningful.
