The Planted Brain (TPB) is a nonprofit mental health agency that harnesses the healing power of nature in its therapeutic horticulture (TH) practices. Based in Southern California, we are proud to offer trauma-informed mental health programming, workshops, and healing garden design services. Founded by David S. Washington, LCSW—a licensed clinical social worker and UC-certified Master Gardener with over a decade of mental health experience—TPB’s work is grounded in his research, passion, and personal expertise.
