About Dr. Alireza Khoshvaghti

To help us provide the best care and minimize missed appointments, we kindly require a $50 deposit to reserve each appointment, along with. Dr. Alireza Khoshvaghti (also known as “Dr. Khosh”) is a specialist in prosthodontics and dental implants at Montgomery Street Dental. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed his prosthodontic residency at the Veterans Affairs Detroit Healthcare System in Detroit, Michigan. Throughout his dental career, Dr. Khosh has been actively involved in research, particularly in the fields of aesthetic dentistry and smile design. One of his publications includes “Evaluation of ‘Golden Proportion' in Individuals with an Esthetic Smile.” He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, San Francisco Dental Society, and Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics (PCSP). Dr. Khosh goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental appointments and enjoys building long-lasting relationships with them. He resides in San Francisco. Outside the office, Dr. Khosh plays tennis and enjoys traveling with family and friends. He also appreciates sampling the Bay Area's diverse cuisine. He is married to his wife, Pooneh, and they have two children, a daughter and a son. Appointment Cancellation Policy: Our office requires 48 hours' notice (excluding Saturday and Sunday) for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will be subject to a fee ranging from $100 to $300, depending on the length of the reserved appointment. To help us provide the best care and minimize missed appointments, we kindly require a $50 deposit to reserve each appointment, along with a credit card on file. This allows us to hold time specifically for you and ensure a smooth experience. Thank you for your understanding and support!

I have a primary dentist that wasn't able to fix my permanent retainer so I found this Dr on Zoc Doc and requested a New Patient visit in order to make the repairs needed. I was given prior notice they would also have to take X-Rays and do a light cleaning before they could treat my retainer which I agreed to. At the appointment, I was in the chair for over 90minutes and they doctor kept making suggestions for me to have to pay out of pocket money for additional X-rays, pictures, new retainers, and they stated I had numerous cavities that needed to be filled that day (I've had one cavity in my entire life and I visit my primary dentist every 6 months). I felt pretty uncomfortable having to keep declining all of these offers to pay additional money on my first visit to the firm where I had scheduled a 45min New Patient appointment for a cleaning and slight repairs. Would not recommend or return to this practice.

I'm patient of this remarkable team/office. Dr. Kosh's kindness and knowledge is absolutely admirable. He is a great clinician, very professional, and makes you feel at ease. "Loved the care and attention to details! Very organized, all formed filled before my visit, nice greeting by Greg with hand sanitizer, checked my temp and checked me in. Priscilla then guided me to treatment room with biggest smile; asking me about my favorite music to play! Dr. Khosh was very polite, professional and informative. "I recommend this place and Dr. Khosh 100% and more. I was desperately looking for immediate care for my Dad's dental bridge situation. He is a visitor, and he doesn't have dental insurance. He was in pain and very much embarrassed by the look. When I found Montgomery street dental and talked to Dr. Khosh, it was like something from heaven happened to us. He immediately asked for some images from his mouth, asked for the last x-rays, and gave us his opinion over the phone! At that moment, I knew we were in good hands. He immediately made an appointment for my Dad for the following day, early morning. Throughout the first visit, he explained the situation and provided us with the best options available. Dr. Khoshvaghti is a thorough professional. He's punctual and detail oriented for every treatment I've been through. His location is very conveniently located in the financial district of San Francisco which makes it very accessible from within and outside of the city. If you are in San Francisco and looking for a good dentist he is the one I would highly recommend.
I was told to see a specialist - a prosthodontist - due to the complexity of my dental work. I also wanted to improve my smile since I was showing too much gum. Many of my dental work including dental implant crowns had to be redone since they were not done right. Dr. Khosh is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He spent lots of time correcting my bite, my teeth and my smile. He also did some dental implant for me. I cant express my feeling about my new smile! I am super happy. Highly recommend him to anyone interested to do some quality dental work.
Years ago I broke a tooth and had to get it extracted. After talking to Dr. Kosh about the pros and cons of implants, and going through all of my questions (and there were a lot of them!) I finally decided to go for it. He made sure I didn’t have any pain. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend him to whomever is looking for a considerate and diligent dentist.
Dr. K was very thorough in his exam He took the time to explain why I should replace my missing tooth. No other dentist had ever explained it the way he did. I have made my appointment to get it placed by him. I also loved that he can do the implant surgery instead of me having to bounce between different offices. Highly recommend!
Dr Kosh is so gentle. I have extreme dental anxiety due to multiple poor dental experiences but Dr Kosh and his caring staff were able to get in my implants quickly and most importantly painlessly. One of my other concerns was that I was expecting a big bill. This office is really modern and highly reviewed and typically that equates to big $$$ but actually his office is much more affordable than some of the other nearby practices. They were able to use my insurance benefits and offered an easy payment plan that broke everything into affordable monthly payments. I want to personally thank Dr Kosh for calming my nerves and giving me back my smile.

I am lucky to call Dr. Khoshvaghti my colleague and friend. I trust him and his work so much that took my beloved mother all the way from OC to be seen by Dr. Khoshvaghti. We had to go couple of times since the work had to be done in steps. However, I have to say it was totally worth it. Doctor is kind and cares deeply for his patients. He is also a perfectionist, and takes the time to listen to what his patients needs and desires are. My mother and I are very grateful for his excellent work and would highly recommend him. Any patient will be lucky to have Dr. Khoshvaghti as a doctor.
