My name is Denver Cook and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner committed to helping those struggling with mental health concerns. I have 17+ years of experience working in a variety of settings including acute inpatient/crisis, forensics, and outpatient community health. My approach I believe in creating an individualized plan of care using psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention. Using this evidence-based approach, my goal for each client is to feel empowered through supportive education and treatment in a stigma-free environment. My focus Adults struggling with depression, anxiety/panic attacks, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, anger issues, and mood disorders. My goal is to help my patients obtain life balance and overall well-being. My communication style My style of communication is open-- primarily focused on active listening and creating a non-judgmental space for open dialogue. I strive to ensure my patients feel heard and understood while fostering a compassionate, supportive environment where they can share their thoughts and concerns freely. My journey to mental healthcare I have worked in the mental health field for 18 years, first as a CNA, then RN, and now as a Nurse Practitioner. Helping clients improve their lives is my main focus. My goals for you I work collaboratively with my patients to find and triage the most bothersome concerns. Together we work on a treatment plan to address these symptoms and work towards being well and improving their life. My first session with you New patient appointments generally take 45-60 mins. We will discuss a comprehensive history (personal, medical, and psychiatric), determine areas of concern, and discuss diagnosis and treatment options.
