More about Dr. Joshua James, MD
Dr. James is native of Plano, TX and graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 1995. He earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with honors. He completed medical school in 2003 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he remained for his residency training in Otolaryngology. He is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
During his residency training, Dr. James completed and published multiple research studies in the field of Voice and Laryngology. He was recognized at the annual Otolaryngology Conference for his efforts in the advancement of laryngeal surgery. He still holds a special interest in voice disorders and treatment.
Dr. James spends much of his free time serving on the board and volunteering at the Collin County Children's and Family Health Clinic. He is also on the board of the Collin-Fannin Medical Society, and currently serves as chairman for Project Access, a healthcare venue for low income families with medical needs. Dr. James has a passion for ensuring that quality healthcare is available to all people, and uses that voice as a delegate in the goverming body of the Texas Medical Association.

I visited this doctor after having a severe allergic reaction. My tongue had blisters all over it. I was very uncomfortable and new I was having an allergic reaction to something. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me. His nurse was great. She sent me to Lab Corp where they did blood work and said they would get back to me once they received the results. I called 4 days later and they had the results. The nurse said she would email them to me and to call if I had any questions. I was in utter shock! I would expect the doctor or nurse to call to go over the results with me and to let me know what it was that was causing this reaction. I would never recommend anyone to this Dr.

New office - moved there two weeks ago. Easy to find, taken right away, and staff were very nice, helpful and efficient. Got my problem dealt with and will return. The address, however, is no longer on Medical Center Dr - they are now in the Baylor Scott & White Professional Office Building Two at 5220 University Drive, Suite 150 in McKinney.
